The Junction Art Cafe Gallery is basically dedicated to the promotion of art. Located at Kovalam junction in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala in India, it is a focal point where works of Art and cultures from different parts of the world converge. The Cafe Gallery is a free space where artists and lovers of art can visit, live and work together, share their ideas and feelings. Travelers and tourists never miss the opportunity to visit this centre and receive the hospitality and services it offers. As you might have already observed, the sail boat and the birds pointing their different parts to all the four directions in four different colors in the logo reveal the polyphonic character of the establishment.

The Cafe Gallery, the first of its kind in Kerala was established in 1990. It has traversed a long way surviving great trials and tribulations, and now has become and international centre for art in Kerala near Kovalam beach where artists from different parts of the globe flock in as it exhibits great works of art from India and from all corners of the world incorporating latest technology in displaying them. The architectural structure, light-up and acoustics are specially designed to suit the purpose.

Kovalam has the reputation for being the most attractive tourist place in Kerala. Vizhinjam, a big natural port at Kovalam beach, has a great history as it had started functioning in AD 850. Kovalam was established as a tourist spot by the westerners in 1965, when hippies began to get banished from their own lands. The extraordinary blueness of the water, calmness of a lagoon, the boulders around the hygienic air might have been the features that had drawn them to this spot.
